Rob Sharp earned his Bachelors of Arts in Instrumental Music Education at Louisiana Tech University where he studied with Michael Link and Paul Bissell in percussion. Rob has been a band director in Louisiana, Arkansas, and Texas in both public and private schools.
He earned his Masters of Music from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary where he was the school’s principal percussionist. He has served in large and small churches in Texas and Louisiana with positions overseeing instrumental music, vocal music, and media.
Throughout both of these careers Rob has continued to play professionally both live and in the studio on drum set, Latin percussion, as well orchestral percussion in variety of styles and mediums.
Rob is also the owner of a music production business that provides churches, artists, and bands with Ableton Live Resources ranging from consulting, training, designing, programming, services, and product development, taking their music production to the next level.
As a member of Louisiana Tech University music faculty, Sharp will oversee and facilitate the Music Industry Degree Program. He will also teach drum set and Latin percussion.
